The broad Nubra Valley lies North of Leh across the 5602 m Khardong La known as the highest road in the world. The Nubra Valley lay along the ancient trading route into Tibet and onto China, decedents of the camels that once plied this route can still be found in Hundar. The broad desert valley is dotted with green fields irrigated from the Nubra and Shayok Rivers and ancient monasteries.

| Day 1 | Drive from Leh to Hundar over the Khardong La and via Disket visiting the spectacularly situated Disket Monastery. In Hundar visit sand dunes with the option of taking a ride on one of the camels descended from the camels which once plied the old silk road. |

| Day 2 | Drive from Hundar to Panamik and then spend the night in Sumur. In Panamik you can visit an ancient monastery and relax in the hot springs. | |
| Day 3 |
Visit monasteries around Sumur in the morning and drive from Sumur back to Leh. | |
