Day 1: Transport from Bagdogra airport or train station to Gangtok (5 hours).
Day 2: Sightseeing around captial of Sikkim (Gangtok) including Rumtek Monastery (organise trekking permits, passport check & shopping).
Day 3: Travel to Yuksum from Gangtok.
Day 4: Hike from Yuksum to Tsokha (6-7 hours, highest point:
Tsokha 3000 m) - beautiful landscape scenery, streams & waterfalls, rhododendrons (if in season - March / April), birds & wildlife.
Day 5: Acclimatisation day at Tsokha
Day 6: Hike from Tsokha to Dzongri (4-5 hours, highest point:
Dzongri 4030 m).
Day 7: Hike to see the sunrise above Dzongri, and return
to Dzongri for a rest day to acclimatize.
Day 8: Hike from Dzongri to Samiti Lake (7 hours, highest
point: Samiti Lake 4200 m).
Day 9: Hike from Samiti Lake to Goecha La and return to Thangsing
(8-9 hours, highest point: Goecha La 4950 m)
Day 10: Thangsing to Tsokha (6-7 hours, highest point: Thangsing
3850 m).
Day 11: Tsokha to Yuksom (5-6 hours, highest point: Tsokha
3000 m).
Day 12: Rest day & visit around Yuksom (old capital of Sikkim) including Sikkimese culture, village walk and visit Dubdhi monastery ( 1 hour walk).
Day 13: From Yuksom to Darjeeling (5 hours) rest day & shopping
Day 14: Sightseeing tea garden and many more interesting sights around Darjeeling
Day 15: Darjeeling to airport / train station.
