Sikkim Jeep Tour 1:
North Sikkim & Pelling (Best time April - June & Sept - Dec)

Day 01
Arrive Bagdogra Airport , Bhadrapur Airport or NJP Railway Station. Drive to Bagdogra to Pelling in Sikkim Pelling: It is located at 6800 ft altitude. It offers a good sunrise and all day long view of Khanchendzonga (2085 mtrs). Overnight in Hotel.   

Day 02
Visit Pemayangtse Monastery, the oldest monastery of sikkim established by Lhatun Chempo. It belongs to the Nyingmapa sect of Tibetan Budhism, 6840 ft. From the monastery one can have a panoramic view of Himalaya . It is a monastery of wooden structure. Drive to Holy Lake at Khecheodpalri and continue to Ravangla (1950 mtrs). Enroute visit Tashiding  Monastery. Overnight Ravanagla Village Resort. Ravangla is famous for its scenic beauty, which is a combination of green forests, rocky and snowy mountains   

Day 03
Drive Ravangla to Gangtok via Timi Tea Garden Gangtok (1600 mtrs.) Overnight in Hotel in Gangtok.

Day 04
Full day sightseeing around Gangtok including Rumtek Monastery. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 05
Day trip to Tsomgo Lake (3650 m) near the India/Tibet border. Overnight in hotel.   

Day 06
Drive from Gangtok north to Lachung (2700 Mtrs.) Overnight Lodge in Lachung.   

Day 07
Drive to Yumthang Valley (3600 mtrs.). Afternoon drive to Lachen. Overnight in Lodge in Lachen. Some photographs of the natural scenes of Switzerland and Yumthang Valley are very hard to distinguish. Yumthang which is at an altitute of 12000fts. is situated about 135 kms from Gangtok.
But the journey is like travelling in the garden of Eden. Yumthang is located on flat valley and is near the tree line.The surrounding mountain seems to kiss the heavens. The route to Yumthang from Lachung has a very picturesque landscape and is lined with rhododendrons which bloom in different colours from April to May.  

Day 08
Drive to holy Gurudongmar Lake (5000 mtrs) near the Tibet border. Overnight Lodge in Lachen.

Day 09
Drive from Lachung to Gangtok. Full day drive back to Gangtok. Overnight in hotel.

Day 10
Drive from Gangtok to Bagdogra Airport or to next destination.
